It offers some tentative solutions to the problems that make the going so rough in this field. It reflects some of the gains that have been made, in the application of psychiatric, psychological, and casework principles to these difficult problems of behavior, by the courts and allied services and institutions. An attempt is made to weigh achievements and potentialities against failures and limitations. This book does not undertake to cover all the possible approaches to the problem of delinquency.
